Ty is 5 months old and is growing up fast.  I was so amazed at how much different he looks now than he did just a few short months ago.  He’s really starting to fill out.  I suppose part of that is due to the fact that he’s eating real food now.  Well maybe not real food but real baby food. “This is first day of the rest of your life.” I don’t know who coined this phrase but I believe that the intention behind it is that you should forget about yesterday and look forward to the future with anticipation and excitement. Well today is truly the first day of the rest of my life. I have worked nights for over 15 years now and I am typically up late and I sleep in late, if I have the chance. In just 6 short days I will be home full time for a while. I’m not totally sure what the future holds but I know that at least for one month I will be working from home and taking care of Ty.  Lindsay has been back to work for almost a month now and I’ve spent my mornings as Super Dad and my nights as Matt the restaurant manager.  Each job is challenging but one has my heart more than the other.  I’m looking forward to the next season in my life and I’m also going to attempt to limit my own personal expectations. Lindsay went back to work this week. That leaves Ty and I at the house by ourselves 3 days out of the week. Monday and Wednesday were great, I fed him, changed his diapers without a snag. He went down for his nap, not a problem in the world. He was my little angel.   Ty’s Smiles Lindsay took this picture this morning.  It seems like just the last few days Ty has begun to smile at us.  It seems like every time I’ve told someone this they’ve just told me that he probably has gas.  What’s cool is that he’s responding to our voices.   While it sometimes seems like a lot of work taking care of him, little moments like this make it all worth it.     He’s Growing Fast I can’t believe it has already been 7 weeks since he was born and he seems to look different almost everyday.  I put him in his swing earlier today...
