I didn’t realize how long it had been since my last post. We’ve had a lot going on around here and I haven’t been able to share it with you all. Well, the in-laws were in town for 2 weeks, we celebrated Ty’s 5 week birthday and I had to do some daddy handy man stuff. I’m one of those do it yourselfers. I absolutely love doing little house projects, so within the past two weeks, I have installed a new ceiling fan and a new garage door opener. Unfortunately both of these projects were out of necessity and installing a garage door opener in 105 degree Oklahoma heat...

While Lindsay was still pregnant a good friend of mine gave me some advice. He said “don’t skimp on the baby monitor”. He let me know about how he and his wife had purchased a cheap one. He said that all it seemed to do was make buzzing noises that were caused from cell phone interference. So I decided I would take it upon myself to make sure that we got a good monitor. So, Ty had his 3 week old birthday yesterday. We didn’t have a celebration but it’s hard not to look back at all that we’ve learned over the past three weeks. One of the things I continue to realize is that we’re all learning together. So let’s recap some of the lessons from the past three weeks.

One Long Day
After one of the longest days of my life, I finally got to meet my son. Lindsay and I arrived at the hospital at 7:30 am in the morning. We were both excited and a little nervous, not knowing what the day would bring. After settling into our delivery room around 8:00am they began to induce labor. I tried to get comfortable and relax but the anticipation was overwhelming.
