If you have a podcast, monetizing it can be one of the hardest things to do. You have hosting to pay for, production costs, and more and affiliate marketing can be a great way to make some money. Today I share five ways to monetize your podcast with affiliate marketing.
One of my favorite things to do in January is take inventory of where I’m at in my life, both professionally and personally (family, health, etc.), and reflection is a great way to get started with this.
First, I take a look back at what I’ve done over the past year that DID work, and then I also recognize those things that DIDN’T work.
Next, I turn to goal setting to get pumped up (and prepped) for what I want to accomplish in the new year based on what I’ve learned.
But you know just as well as I do that sometimes we set goals, but then we fail to actually accomplish those goals.
What does it mean to truly FOCUS?
Today’s guest, John Lee Dumas, is an expert on the subject. His FOCUS helped him to grow Entrepreneur on Fire from non-existent to a business doing more than $200,000 a month. In the process, he has inspired countless others to follow in his footsteps.
His acronym is:
Find out what that means in today’s episode and learn how to stay focused until you reach success.
How did I end up here?
How did I end up an entrepreneur, working my own schedule, choosing my own clients, and enjoying my work?
Well it wasn’t all cupcakes and lollipops, that is for sure.
I recently had the pleasure of sharing my story with John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur on Fire. John’s podcast is one of the top-ranked podcasts in iTunes. It’s a seven-day-a-week podcast that has featured guests like Seth Godin, Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk, Barbara Corcoran, Guy Kawasaki, Chris Brogan, and me (you tell me which one of those is not like the other).
I am amazed at the community here.
Last month was a record month on my blog.
Highest number of hits.
Highest number of hits from social media shares.
Highest number of unique visitors.
Highest number of comments.
By any metric possible, it was a great month, so I wanted to say thank you…
It was 11:00 in the morning on a Monday…and I was on my way to the zoo.
That’s when I realized I’ve made it.
I’m about to record an interview with one of my favorite people in the world, John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur on Fire. (Side note: He wrote a killer guest post for me that will be coming up soon…I can’t wait to share it with you.)
One of the questions he asks every interviewee is, “Have you had an ‘I’ve made it’ moment?” For some reason, that question rattled in my brain for a few days after we scheduled the interview.
