I’m very excited about this affiliate opportunity because:
1 – Mark’s not a one-trick pony
He earned his chops the old-fashioned way – by doing. His career at Chick-fil-A began more than 40 years ago as an hourly team member in one of the local restaurants. He’s worked all across the business, from starting their Corporate Communications group and Quality & Customer Satisfaction Team to holding leadership positions in Restaurant Operations, Training & Development, Leadership Development, and more! Currently, he serves as Vice President of High-Performance Leadership at Chick-fil-A.
2 – He’s a “leadership” student
Over the past 20 years, in addition to his leadership role at Chick-fil-A, Bob’s taught and led not-for-profit organizations domestically and globally. Although the context is different in every organization, the problems have common roots and so do the solutions. He’s authored nine books and today has more than a million books in print in 25+ languages. He is always searching for examples of innovative leadership approaches that he can make applicable in the real world.

More About Mark:
My career at Chick-fil-A began more than 40 years ago as an hourly team member in one of the local restaurants. Shortly thereafter, I became the 16th corporate employee — my first job: working in the warehouse. Since that day, I have worked all across the business, from starting our Corporate Communications group and our Quality & Customer Satisfaction Team to leading in Restaurant Operations, Training & Development, Leadership Development, and more! Currently, I serve as Vice President of High-Performance Leadership at Chick-fil-A.
In addition to my role at Chick-fil-A, I’ve also had the privilege to teach and lead in not-for-profit organizations domestically and globally. Although the context is different in every organization, the problems have common roots and so do the solutions. Along the way, I have been fortunate to author (and co-author) a few books – nine and counting. Today, more than a million books are in print in 25+ languages. My approach to writing has always been to find what is true in principle and figure out how to make it applicable to the real world.
As our opportunities and challenges grow ever more complex, leadership has never been more valuable. With his creative and accessible new book, Chess Not Checkers, Chick-fil-A’s Mark Miller has successfully demystified the essence of modern leadership. Muhtar Kent, Coca-Cola
