Thank You Revolution Header

I’ll cut right to the chase this week. I’m going to throw down three challenges. Will you accept?

Challenge One:

Write a thank you not to someone from whom you expect nothing in return.

I’ll admit that all too often I focus on the rewards that come from writing thank you notes. The promotions, the money, and the connections. Or even a happier marriage or better relationships with your children.

But what about firefighters, garbage collectors, or teachers (not of your children)? People who could possibly return the gesture.

Perhaps you could even write it anonymously.

Here’s the catch…they can’t reward you, but you will reward yourself. When you write it, you will feel good about it.

This week, write to someone from whom you expect nothing in return.

Challenge Two:

Tell someone about the Revolution.

Introduce one person to the Revolution this week. If all of us do that, we could more than double in size (because they’ll introduce someone, too.)

Challenge Three:

Share your story.

I’ve had a ton of great stories shared with me from the Revolution. You’ll read one next week. My favorite to date is how Greg turned one thank you note into a $265,000,000 deal. Powerful stuff.

What’s your story? I’d love to read it and share it with others to inspire them. If you want, I can share it anonymously or if you have a web site, I can link to it when I share your story. It’s up to you!

This week, in addition to writing a note to someone from whom you expect nothing in return and introducing someone to the Revolution, share your story with me.

I can’t wait to read it and share it with others!

Until next week…Viva The Revolution!

With Gratitude,

Matt McWilliams

Thanks for the challenge. I will be sharing about the TYR next week at my Toastmasters meeting. It should be a fun speech. And I’ve already sent you a couple of my TYR stories. So I will be especially concentrating on challenge #1.

I’ll see what I can do, but no promises.
